About CANSAT

USSS, one of JUSTSAP symposium, was taken place in Hawaii USA from Nov/10/1998. This symposium is a publication outlet for small satellite researches at universities. And CanSat project was proposed by Prof. Twiggs (Stanford University) at this meetings. Following is the content of the project.

For students it is very important that they experience satellites design, manufacturing, and using. So for the opportunity to get experiences like these, CanSat project like following is carried out.

• 12 universities in USA and JAPAN each make one satellite
• Size is as the same as a coke-can
• Satellites will be launched by oct/99 (postponed)
• Make reports on satellites at next JUSTSAP meeting on Nov/99(Missions are secrets until this meeting)

This project which put all satellite elements in a coke-can must be done less than a year from design to launch. Researches which will have done during this period are showed on this web page.
