XI-V Launch Succeeded on October 27, 2005!
XI-V was released from the parent satellite SSETI-Express several hours after the
launch. At our ground station, we succeeded in receiving signal from XI-V at 22:46
(JST) when XI-V passed above Japan.
We confirmed the normal operation of XI-V in orbit, and are now checking image data.
Currently ISSL is developing a next-generation nano-satellite called "PRISM"
as well as operating XI-IV and XI-V in orbit. However, we cannot collect the whole
launch cost (10M US$) so far. To continue this image delivering service, we invite
you to become our special supporter.
Thank you for your visit to XI MAIL STATION and for your interest to our nano-satellite
projects.
